Microwave Breakfast Cookie



2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 egg yolk

1/4 cup flour

1 tablespoon instant oats

dash of salt

2 tablespoons Traina Foods Fruitons American Blend

1 tablespoon chopped nuts (optional)


  1. In a microwave safe bowl, melt the butter in the microwave for 10-15 seconds. Allow to cool slightly before storing in egg yolk and brown sugar. Then mix in flour, oats, salt, Fruitons, and nuts.

  2. Bring mixture together until it forms a ball. Shape the dough into a circle, about 3-inches in diameter. Place on a microwave safe plate and cook for 1 minute. Microwave temperatures and power vary. You may need to cook your cookie and extra 15 seconds more or less depending on your microwave.

  3. Allow to cool slightly, about 1 minute, before serving.
